Abstracts
CYTO 2026 is where the brightest ideas in cytometry come to life. Submitting an abstract gives you the chance to showcase your most innovative research to an international audience of scientists, clinicians, and technology leaders who are pushing the boundaries of discovery. Share your breakthroughs, spark new collaborations, and gain valuable feedback from peers who are as passionate about advancing science as you are. Don’t just be part of the conversation—help shape the future of cytometry.
IMPORTANT DEADLINES:
- Submission site opens: October 6, 2025
- Oral and Poster Abstract Submission Deadline: December 7, 2025

Abstract Presentation Opportunities at CYTO
CYTO offers two exciting ways to share your science. Oral presentations give you the stage to present your latest research and innovations in a 15-minute talk, followed by audience questions and discussion. Poster presentations provide a more interactive format, where you can display your research daily and connect directly with attendees through in-depth conversations.
Both formats are valued opportunities to share your work, gain feedback, and build collaborations! We encourage you to submit an abstract and choose the option that best fits your research and presentation style.
Oral Abstract Submission
Oral presentations allow researchers to present the latest scientific and technological advances in the cytometry topic areas. Talks are scheduled for 15 minutes (10 minutes for presentation, 5 minutes for audience questions). Abstracts should include an introduction, establishing the area of the work, background, and context for the reader. The methods used should be described, especially any new or improved techniques. The results should be clearly stated, and their significance in the context of previous work should be outlined in conclusion.
*If your oral abstract is not accepted, it will only be considered for poster presentation if you select this preference during the submission process.
Poster Abstract Submission
The board for poster presentations is LANDSCAPE orientation, with maximum dimensions of 6 ft WIDE × 4 ft HIGH. Please ensure your printed poster does not exceed these dimensions. Please print the size poster you feel best represents your work not to exceed the allowable poster board space. Authors must be present during a designated time during the scheduled poster sessions to address CYTO attendee questions about their presentation.
Preparing for Your Online Submission
The Society uses an online submission system for presentations. For a proposal to be considered, submissions will only be accepted through the online submission site, must contain all the required elements, and be completed by the deadline.
Ideal Submissions
- Contain new, original research content or scientific concepts.
- Interesting, innovative, meaningful, or compelling content will address all learner levels.
- Articulate the rationale for the presentation which is supported by literature and/or research.
- Statement of the purpose should be clear to include the scientific method, specific experimental questions, and statistical analyses with conclusions supported by results.
- Identify the potential impact of the research on clinical practice, education of students, the profession or future research.
- Can NOT be product or promotion specific.
Submission Guidelines
To be considered, submissions will only be accepted through the online submission site, must contain all the required elements, and be completed by the deadline.
- Abstracts must be submitted in English.
- No character limit is in place for CYTO 2026 Abstracts.
- Please make sure that your browser can display the full variety of special characters, including Greek letters, if needed for your proposal.
- Only one Presenter (Lead Presenter) will be accepted during submission.
- Proofread your submission carefully to ensure the content and presenter’s information is correct. We suggest you "Save As Draft" and carefully proofread all information before submitting.
- Submission changes and edits can only be made prior to official submission.
- Once submitted, you will not be able to make any further changes.
Submitter: The individual submitting the abstract through the submission portal.
Presenter (Lead Presenter): The primary contact with ISAC staff who will present the abstract at the conference.
*Please note each submission is limited to one lead presenter.
Contributing Authors: All authors associated with the submission, including the lead presenter and any additional contributing authors.
Accepted abstracts will be published online exactly as they are submitted. After your request has been submitted, a confirmation email will be sent to the submitter’s email address. The email is for your records only and does not constitute the request that has been approved. If your abstract is approved, an official acceptance email will be sent in February 2026. If you do not receive an email within 24 hours, please email cyto2026speakers@maritz.com
Please Note:
- The Organizing Committee reserves the right to decline a presentation for any submitted abstracts that lack scientific content or merit, or that merely announce the availability of a resource or service.
- Results or studies that have been published or that will be accepted for publication elsewhere prior to the submission deadline may not be accepted for presentation.
- With regard to research using human subjects, ISAC endorses the protections embodied in the Basic Principles of the Declaration of Helsinki and their expansion in the regulations governing research supported by the U.S. Government (45 CFR Part 46; 56 FR 28003). ISAC does not endorse and will not publish the results of research that was not conducted in accordance with these principles. Investigations involving animals reported in abstracts must have been conducted in conformance with approved principles of the care and use of animals in research.
